Friends Helping Haiti
The Friends Helping Haiti Concert was a success, and turned out to be everything we had hoped and prayed it would be. We had 200 people in attendance, and we raised $4,150 for Haiti relief.
So many talented people took part in the concert. Lift. Chris, Penny, and Daniel Sitler. Cathy Harris. Teresa Jordan. Abby Ulerick. Scott Ross. Terry Ferrell. Bob Hadsell. Robin Richey. Janis Lewman. Sharon Day. All of the Spiceland Dulcimer Players. Avery Perry. All the fantastic people who helped me organize the event. All the people who came out and supported us.
The greatest part is we’re not done. We are all already talking about other places that we can go do this. I felt called by God to do this, and I still feel the call to help the people in Haiti as much as I possibly can. I feel so blessed that God called on me to carry this out, and that he sent people like Chris and Penny Sitler, Cathy Harris and Steve and Joanne Anderson to put it all together with me.
And I offer my biggest thanks to anyone reading who donated to the Friends Helping Haiti earthquake relief fund. You are making a big difference in the life of someone. Remember, 100% of donations are going to World Vision, Samaritan’s Purse, Northwest Haiti Christian Mission and Christian Services International. Everything you give is going to help those who desperately need all the help we can give. Thanks for your generosity.
Charity Information
Northwest Haiti Christian Mission
The Northwest Haiti Christian Mission, NWHCM, has teamed up with a popular local figure, star Colts receiver Pierre Garcon, who's parents and entire family come from Haiti, to raise money. Pierre Garcon and Ultimate Sports Connection have raised over $25,000 so far, which NWHCM has used to help in a lot of ways. They have a team of medical personnel on the ground, a doctor, two nurses, a pharmacist, and a medical director, who set up a clinic to treat patients. They have brought in a shipping container filled with food, and another filled with medical supplies. They also have a webpage updated with information and photos from Haiti on a regular basis. They have collection centers set up in Kentucky, Indiana, Florida, Kansas, and Michigan to collect needed food and medical supplies.

Samaritan's Purse
Based in North Carolina, and run by Franklin Graham, Samaritan's Purse is a charity that has a long history of helping people all around the world. One of their most popular projects is "Operation Christmas Child", in which they collect shoeboxes full of toys and other items, and deliver them to impovershed, sick, and orphaned kids in various locations around the world. They were among the first to arrive in Haiti with cargo planes full of supplies. A hospital in Port-Au-Prince was recently on CNN, commenting on how Samaritan's Purse had been constantly supplying them with needed medical items, and reported that one of the first things brought to them by Samaritan's Purse was an 80 gallon water purification system.
