April '10
My new CD, "The Way", will be released on Saturday, April 10th. I am proud to announce that for the first time ever, I will be performing a CD release concert, to be held at Dublin Friends Church at 7 PM on April 10th. I will be playing all 10 songs from the new CD, and plenty of others as well. I will also be sharing the stories behind the songs. Please, tell all of your friends. I am really excited about this event.
Dublin Friends is on Maple Street, in Dublin, IN. (Click here for Google map.)From US 40, turn south at the stoplight, then take a right at the stop sign. Refreshments will be served.

Brian Wallen has a new CD, entitled "Jesus Blues". As you might have guessed, it features 9 Gospel blues songs, many of them spirituals, like "Amazing Grace", "Old Time Religion" and "Down In The Valley to Pray". Check it out at any of Brian's shows.
Blue Lightning is back! You can catch Brian and the band performing at various shows around the area.

Brian Wallen just released a new CD entitled "Old Mountain Music". It features 8 traditional songs like "John Henry", "Shady Grove" and "Cripple Creek", with banjo, fiddle, guitar, mandolin, and dobro. Check it out at any of Brian's shows.
Beginning in June, Brian Wallen will be performing the 2nd Saturday of every month at the Blue Moon in Losantville, rather than every other Saturday. See you there June 13th, same time, same place.
Also in June, Brian Wallen will be coming to a new venue. The Dutch Mill Buffet in Milroy has a terrific menu, as well as a buffet that includes shrimp, clams, crab legs, catfish, baby back ribs, Angus beef, fried chicken, and much more. A chili supper/fundraiser will be held for the local Compassionate
Friends chapters on April 8th. It goes from 4:30 PM, until the chili is gone or until 7:30 PM, whichever comes first.
The supper will be held at the Don McCullough Memorial Community Center in Hagerstown IN at the corner of Main and Plum street.
Brian Wallen will be providing entertainment from 5:30 to 6:30.
Chili, coney dogs, and pie are on the menu. Please come out and support this worthy cause.

Milton’s Talented Brian Wallen
expands his music journey into the Connersville area, where he will be performing at the Southern Style Family Dining at the intersection of State Rd 1 South and State Rd 44 East (next to the Fayette County Historical Museum). He performs for the first time On Sunday evening February 22 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. His music showcases a wide range of styles, including his own original compositions, as well as just about anything you'd request.
Brian, combining his instruments and voice together, has entertained people in the surrounding areas for well over a year, playing in local places that are family orientated also private parties and clubs and just last July in Nashville Tennessee he performed on the plaza at the Ryman Auditorium.
Wallen’s talent is also to be appreciated in the total producing of his own CD’s. He records each instrument himself on every track,and after recording his voice and words on different track he then combines them together and burns his CD’s. He has to-date recorded seven CD’s and one Video CD, with backgrounds from around the Milton Area.
His latest CD is titled The Best Of Brian Wallen, which just became available this week. His CD’s at this time sell for only $5.00 each. Even though the price is low, you will hear the quality is not at all low.

Fall Festival A Success!
Those that were promised a good time Saturday October 4th certainly saw those promises come true as Brian Wallen and Blue Lightning entertained a large crowd at Robinsons Fall Festival. The even took place just off US 40 between Dublin and Straughn. There were smiles all around, and it was easy to tell that everyone was having a great time. Brian Wallen and Blue Lightning look forward to future events at the festival grounds!

A reminder that Brian Wallen and Blue Lightning will be appearing at a great outdoor festival Saturday, October 4th, at 2 PM. Robinsons Fall Festival will be taking place on US 40 between Dublin and Straughn, three houses west of Wilbur Wright Road. There will be a flea market with all sorts of items for sale, and a farmers market as well as live entertainment, with Brian Wallen and Blue Lightning performing from 2-4:30 PM, and the Wes Miller Band appearing from 5-7 PM. Not to mention all sorts of other activities! It will no doubt be a great, fun filled time had by all. There is a $5 donation for admittance. You REALLY don’t want to miss this!

PICKIN' ON THE PLAZA
Brian Wallen and Blue Lightning's trip to Nashville to perform on the Plaza for Bluegrass Nights at the Ryman (July 10th) was a great success. There was a large crowd on hand to watch the performance, and it was certainly a fun time had by all. |
